Course Description: Join guitarist and educator Sean Brennan for this 10-week course designed to complement the songs you're already learning while helping you build the essential skills every guitarist needs. Using familiar songs as the foundation, you'll develop practical techniques in a supportive, relaxed environment that encourages steady progress. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or returning to the instrument after a break, this course provides a strong musical foundation at a comfortable pace.
Throughout the course, you'll learn to identify and play basic chords and strumming patterns in D tuning, strengthen your hands through warm-ups and technique exercises, and develop coordination and dexterity. You'll also build fluency in the language of music by learning to read guitar tablature and chord charts, giving you the confidence to play a wide variety of music with ease.
No prior guitar experience is required—just bring your guitar, a sense of curiosity, and a good sense of humor. By the end of the 10 weeks, you'll have the skills and confidence to continue your guitar journey and enjoy playing the music you love.
