3D Paper Snowflake Class
Process: Students will create a 3D snowflake by cutting repeating patterns into layers of paper. Using two sheets of paper, same colors or different, they will fold the papers to get same sized pieces. They will cut the pieces out and glue them into tubes, folding them to get center lines and edges. Students can then use provided templates or create their own out of cardstock to transfer designs to each layer of paper. They will then cut the designs out of the paper and glue each layer together, one on top of the other. They can secure the stack of layers to dry with clips. Once dry, they can take the top layer and bottom layer and pull the layers open. The designs will show through the hollow interior of each tube. The top layer and bottom layer will then be glued together to create the round snowflake shape, secure with a clip until dry. Students are then free to embellish their snowflakes with glitter if they wish.
Remember, this class is free for Vibrant Members - purchase your ticket at $0 to confirm registration.
Non-members fee is $8
